The Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA) has proposed to launch monitoring of the availability of diagnostic maintenance cards for drivers while on the road. This was announced on November 13 by Sergey Yefremov, Director of Asset Protection at the meeting of the State Duma Committee on Transport and Transport Infrastructure Development.

"Currently, a project is being discussed to start recording the availability of CTP policies with traffic cameras. It would also be possible to add a photo record of the presence of diagnostic cards to confirm the passage of vehicle inspection," the Interfax news agency quoted Yefremov as saying.

According to Yefremov, most often such checks are practically not carried out.

In addition, Yefremov proposed changing the frequency of maintenance for vehicles with a lifting capacity of more than 2.5 tons.
