In Makhachkala, the activity of a cafe has been suspended, where mass poisoning of visitors occurred. As reported on November 13 in the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Dagestan, the cause of the disease was salmonellosis.
According to the agency, from November 12 to November 13, 14 cases of intestinal infection related to eating in this institution were registered.
"During the sanitary and hygienic examination, numerous and gross violations of the requirements of sanitary legislation were revealed," the Telegram channel of the Rospotrebnadzor of the Republic of Dagestan noted.
The causative agent of salmonellosis was isolated from the victims and from food samples. The premises of the cafe are sealed, and a lawsuit is being prepared for the compulsory liquidation of the individual entrepreneur's activities.
Earlier in the day, the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Dagestan announced an investigation into mass poisoning. The ministry clarified that there are minors among the victims, and investigators are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.
