Documentation for extraction of Saka mud has been agreed in Crimea

In Crimea, the project documentation for the development of therapeutic mud in Saki has been agreed. The decision was made at a meeting of several commissions in the field of subsoil use, the press service of the Republican Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment reports.

Mining is planned to be carried out in the water area of the Eastern basin of Lake Saki using current technology and existing equipment.

Officials also approved the technical documentation for the development of an underground mineral thermal water deposit. They will be used for therapeutic drinking and balneotherapy in the sanatoriums of the Sak.

Earlier it was reported that over 25 thousand tons of therapeutic mud have been extracted in Crimea over the past 10 years. The finished products are supplied to health centers in Russia and neighboring countries.
