The State Duma (DG) proposed to introduce a fraud protection mechanism for the sale of single housing, involving transactions through an escrow account. This was reported on November 13 in TASS.
"It is proposed to fix the norm, according to which all funds under the contract of sale of a single dwelling are subject to crediting by the buyer to a special escrow account with an authorized bank," the document says.
