Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he had no information about the citizens of the Republic of South Africa. He stated this on November 12 on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

According to Pretoria, they are trying to return them from the territory of the special military operation zone.

"I don't have any information at all. This is the first time I've heard about it," the Kremlin spokesman said..

Earlier, on November 6, the South African government announced that it was working through diplomatic channels to return 17 of its citizens who had signed contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
