Slovakia has spoken out against the use by the European Union (EU) of Russia's frozen assets to help Ukraine. This was reported on November 10 by The European Conservative magazine.

According to the newspaper, the country's prime Minister, Robert Fico, refused to support this plan, believing that it would not contribute to resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

"Do we want to end the conflict or are we fomenting it? We are going to give Ukraine 140 billion euros to keep the conflict going. So what does this mean? That the conflict will continue for at least two more years," Fico said.
