The French Embassy has promised to continue issuing visas to Russians.
The decision of the European Commission (EC) to ban the issuance of multiple-entry Schengen visas to Russian citizens will not prevent them from traveling to Europe and France. This was announced on November 10 at the country's embassy in Moscow.
"The French Embassy will continue to issue short—stay visas, including tourist visas," the French Embassy replied to RTVI's question.
According to the embassy, the ban on issuing multiple-entry visas does not affect the possibility for Russian citizens to travel to France.
On November 7, the European Commission announced a ban on issuing new multiple-entry visas to citizens of the Russian Federation. Now, to visit the European Union (EU), Russians will have to apply to the visa application center every time. Later in the day, it was reported that Switzerland would join the new EU visa restrictions on Russian citizens.
