The Kremlin announced the visit of Kazakh President Tokayev to Moscow
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a state visit to Moscow on November 11-12 at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. The meeting on November 10 was announced on the Kremlin's website.
The leaders of the two countries plan to discuss topical issues of further development of Russian-Kazakh relations, in particular strategic partnership in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. It should be emphasized that the parties prepared the documents for their signing during the meeting.
In addition, Putin and Tokayev plan to address the participants of the plenary session of the XXI Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan via videoconference.
Shortly before that, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called Kazakhstan a privileged partner of Russia. According to him, the Kremlin is in the final stages of preparations for Tokayev's state visit to Russia.
Earlier, on November 6, Tokayev said that Kazakhstan was ready to provide its territory for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. He also noted that Putin is unlikely to soften territorial demands.
