Vasily Tsereteli announced a large-scale exhibition of the Izvestia cartoonist
Vasily Tsereteli, President of the Russian Academy of Arts, announced the opening of the exhibition "Cartoons. Comics. The Humor of Hitler's personal Enemy", prepared by Izvestia in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The large-scale exhibition will be housed in the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery and will tell about the anti-fascist caricature in Izvestia using the example of the work of the outstanding artist, academician Boris Yefimov, who worked at the newspaper for about 85 years.
The exhibition will feature about 100 exhibits, including authentic drawings by Efimov, historical materials and a general multimedia component — cartoons "animated" with the help of artificial intelligence, videos from archival materials, an audio guide integrated with a special project on the website. iz.ru , as well as a hologram of Boris Efimov's sculpture made by Zurab Tsereteli.
Working with Boris Yefimov's legacy, Izvestia also thought about the revival of the genre of political caricature itself, and its return to the pages of the federal media.
