Thus, Djokovic, seeded at number one, won his 101st trophy in his career. He holds the third highest number of titles in the Open era, behind American Jimmy Connors (109 titles) and Swiss Roger Federer (103 titles).

Djokovic is 38 years old and ranks fifth in the world rankings. He has 24 Grand Slam titles to his credit, which is a record among men in singles.
