The defense of actor Yakov Levda, known for his role in the TV series Sklifosovsky, appealed the verdict in the case of beating his mother. This was reported to Izvestia in court on November 7.
Levda also fully admitted his guilt.
The incident occurred on November 15, 2024, after a woman told her son about a quarrel with her husband. Levda arrived home intoxicated and got into a conflict with his mother. The actor began to beat the woman and throw things around, during the scuffle the door fell on her. Levda's mother suffered serious injuries, including fractured ribs and multiple bruises. She managed to leave the apartment and seek help from the neighbors, who called the police.
On October 3, it was reported that Levda was sentenced to three years in a penal colony for beating his mother. The Nagatinsky court of Moscow found him guilty in the case. At the time of sentencing, 39-year-old Levda participated in 29 film projects, including —Policeman from Rublyovka-4", "Alibi", "Bloodhound", "Enemy at the gate". He became widely known for his role as a doctor in the TV series Sklifosovsky. In 2013, he also starred in Alexander Mitta's film "Chagall — Malevich".
