From January to October 2025, more than 96 thousand tons of fish, Kamchatka crabs and fish products were shipped from the Murmansk Region to foreign countries. These are the data from the regional Rosselkhoznadzor.
About 61 thousand tons were exported to the EU countries. About 23 thousand tons of fish and fish products and 306 tons of live crab were sent to China. The crab was exported both by motor transport and by plane, Bi-port news agency notes.
The products of Murmansk fishermen were also received in South Korea, Uruguay and Morocco. All export shipments were inspected and checked by the agency's specialists. After that, they issued the accompanying documents.
Earlier, the agency clarified that in 2024, more than 150 thousand tons of fish and seafood were exported from the Arctic.
Earlier, on November 7, it was reported that Russia is preparing a large-scale upgrade of the port infrastructure. Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Magadan, Korsakov, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and others are expected to increase cargo traffic. This will expand trade with China, India and a number of other countries.
