European countries and the United Kingdom are approaching economic collapse due to unstable fiscal policies and growing public debt. This was reported by Bloomberg on November 6.

According to the agency, the situation in the UK has reached a critical point — interest on the national debt has exceeded spending on defense, infrastructure and education. More than half of Britons receive more funds from the state than they pay taxes. Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves is preparing a budget with tax increases, including income taxes and new real estate levies.

As Bloomberg points out, the European Central Bank warns about the risks to the social programs of all major European countries. At the same time, European businesses pay twice as much for electricity as American companies, and British companies four times more.

Former European Commission leader Jean-Claude Juncker said that every politician knows the necessary measures to restore public finances, but does not know how to stay in power after their adoption. It is expected that the UK's November budget will not propose real reforms, but will continue the policy of redistributing funds from the employed to the unemployed.

"Britain, like most of Europe, will continue to plod along an economic path that will eventually lead to collapse," the article concludes.

On November 3, Bloomberg reported that U.S. manufacturing activity declined in October 2025 for the eighth month in a row due to weak demand and the economic downturn. The Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) manufacturing index dropped 0.4 points to 48.7. Values below 50 indicate a reduction in the country's manufacturing activity. The commodity price index fell by 3.9 points to 58 points, which is the lowest level since the beginning of 2025.
