The head of the ROAD urged not to wait for New Year's discounts on cars

You shouldn't expect New Year's discounts on cars from dealers this year. This was stated by the head of the association "Russian Automobile Dealers" (ROAD) Alexey Podshchekoldin.

"In general, New Year's discounts are not worth waiting for. Only local promotions from some dealers are possible," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted Podshchekoldin as saying on November 6.

At the same time, as the head of the ROAD noted, prices can be expected to rise in a number of segments before the end of the year, primarily for imported models. Currently, there is a reduction in waste in dealers' warehouses, especially for popular models of Chinese brands. During the summer and early autumn, stocks were actively declining due to steady demand and a cautious purchasing policy, he said.

According to the dealer association's baseline forecast, by the end of 2025, the market volume will be about 1.3 million vehicles, which is about 20% lower than in 2024.
