Today, the world is no closer to nuclear war than it was during the Cuban Missile crisis in October 1962. This was announced on November 6 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"We would not come to such conclusions," he said in an interview with TASS, answering a question about whether the world was further away from nuclear war in the fall of 1962.
