The most popular new cars in Russia in October are named
The Lada Granta family has once again become the leader of the Russian car market, and the Chinese Haval Jolion crossover has turned out to be the best-selling foreign car in the country. This is stated in the report of the analytical agency Autostat on the Russian car market for October, which was received by Izvestia on November 6.
In October, Lada Granta cars (including those produced on its basis) were sold in the amount of 15.2 thousand units. This is 28.4% less than a year ago. The share of Grants decreased by more than 3 percentage points over the year, from 12.38% to 9.16%.
The second is the Haval Jolion crossover, which produced 9229 cars in mid-autumn (-19%). He managed to outpace Lada Vesta — the model of this VAZ family sold 7,453 copies in October, showing the largest market decline (-34.2%). Geely Monjaro crossovers (6435 units; +23.7%) and Haval M6 (6203 units; +69.4%) rounded out the top five.
The top ten also includes two more crossovers of the Belarusian brand Belgee (X70 and X50), two crossovers of the Russian brand Tenet (T4 and T7) and the Lada Niva Legend SUV. At the same time, sales of the Belgee X70 increased the most in October (by 4.8 times).
"If we consider the dynamics over the 10 months of this year, then the Belgee X70 is also the best — due to the low base, the sales volume of this crossover has increased by more than 10 times. Six models turned out to be "in the red," and Lada Vesta is again the worst off (-34%)," the analysts noted.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that by the end of October this year, 165.7 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 3.2% less than in the same month of 2024. Belarusian Belgee and Russian Tenet were among the top five brands.
