Czech Republic allowed reduction of military aid to Ukraine
The Czech Republic plans to reduce military aid to Ukraine and focus on "diplomatic efforts" to end the conflict. This was announced on November 5 by the candidate for the post of Foreign Minister of the Republic in the new coalition government, Filip Turek.
"It (the new government of the country. — Ed.) will prioritize diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine and reducing the risks of conflict in Europe, moving away from military assistance funded from the state budget <...>, focusing on the Czech Republic's security needs," he said in an interview with Politico newspaper.
At the same time, Turek stressed that the new Czech government "will comply with its obligations to NATO."
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on November 1 that the financing of Ukraine by European countries is the sponsorship of terrorism. According to her, the regime, formed with Western money, commits terrorist attacks against peaceful Russians and the civilian population of those territories that it considers its own.
