On November 4, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharov expressed her condolences over the death of TV presenter Yuri Nikolaev.

"My deepest condolences. A happy memory," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

Zakharova also attached an excerpt from the special edition of the program "Tonight", which was released on November 1 and was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Nikolaev's work on the air.
