Poet Shaganov commented on the death of TV presenter Yuri Nikolaev
Alexander Shaganov, a songwriter who was a friend of TV presenter Yuri Nikolaev, shared his memories of his colleague and friend in an interview with Izvestia on November 4.
"He was the most beloved TV presenter, the kindest person. <...> The whole country, the whole Soviet Union loved him," he said.
Shaganov added that light always emanated from Nikolaev's voice, which was also observed and felt at the moment when the TV presenter was smiling. In addition, he called the presenter "a symbol of Soviet television and pop music."
TV presenter Tatiana Vedeneeva, who has worked with Nikolayev since the days of the Morning Mail program, noted in a conversation with Izvestia the openness and professionalism of her colleague.
"He was really very comfortable communicating with a person, a professional and good colleague, whom I wanted to work with," she summed up.
The source of Izvestia on the same day reported on Nikolaev's hospitalization, due to the deterioration of his condition — according to the interlocutor, the presenter was struggling with cancer. Later it became known about the death of the TV presenter, who, according to ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze, "lit up many television stars."
