An unknown person spent the night on the Eiffel Tower unnoticed by the guards.
An unknown person was able to stay overnight at the Eiffel Tower unnoticed by the guards. This was reported by the newspaper Le Parisien on October 29.
According to a law enforcement source, the man purchased a ticket for visitors and arrived at the Paris landmark on Monday evening at 21:35. The next morning at 10:20 a.m., he was spotted on surveillance cameras again, and the man was leaving the premises.
According to police, the visitor did not cause any damage, but the incident raised concerns about the safety of the Eiffel Tower.
"What has he done in that time? It's impossible to say. But still, according to our source, no damage was noted after a thorough inspection of the Eiffel Tower," the newspaper quoted the police as saying.
The police are investigating the incident.
On the same day, BFMTV, citing Paris Prosecutor Laura Becco, reported that two detainees in the Louvre robbery case partially admitted their guilt. They are officially charged with committing numerous robberies committed by organized gangs. The jewels have not been found yet.
