VKontakte introduced "Trends" in VK Clips to expand the audience of authors
The social network VKontakte has introduced the Trends section in VK Clips to help authors and brands expand their audience, as well as participate in popular topics and topical discussions. As specified in the company's press release, current trends are embedded in the process of creating short videos.
At the stage of publishing the clip, the authors see hints with popular hashtags and music. This way, videos become visible in the feed and more often come to the attention of users: algorithms take into account the relevance of the topic and the interests of viewers. Due to this, high-quality works find a wider audience.
A special section contains current trends and a calendar of notable events — they tell the authors what is popular now and what may arouse the interest of the audience in the future.
"Today, the most noticeable trends are born in short videos, VK Clips collect 3 billion views every day. User ideas quickly become widespread and unite millions of viewers, authors, and brands. Our task as a platform is to support this process: to help find relevant topics and inspire content creation," said Evgeny Vasiliev, Product Director of VKontakte.
Earlier it became known that the new VKontakte Fandom Fest will be held on November 22 and 23 in Moscow at the Main Stage. The headliners of the festival will be k-pop groups from South Korea EVERGLOW and 8TURN. The boy band The Last Live, ballad rock singer Dima Permyakov, musician from China WEIYI and artists from Kazakhstan NOMADS will perform for the guests.
