Putin instructed the prosecutor's office to sign the UN Convention against cybercrime

Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Prosecutor General's Office to sign the UN Convention against Cybercrime on behalf of Russia. The relevant order was posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"To accept the proposal of the Government of the Russian Federation to sign the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime; to strengthen international cooperation in combating certain types of crimes committed using information and communication systems and in the electronic exchange of information related to serious crimes, adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 24, 2024," the document says.
