Trump accused Obama of espionage and called him a threat to democracy
On October 19, American leader Donald Trump called his predecessor Barack Obama a threat to democracy, accusing him of spying on his campaign. Thus, he commented on the words of a politician that a Republican threatens democracy, against the background of the criminal prosecution of former Trump adviser John Bolton.
"He (Obama. — Ed.) himself threatens democracy. He started it when he was spying on my campaign," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
According to Trump, the former president makes such assessments all the time.
Trump promised that all those involved in illegal activities against him would be caught.
"Obama was spying on my campaign. He did it knowing it was illegal. And there are a lot of dishonest people there. I suspect they will be caught," Trump said.
