Unique developments on environmental protection were presented in Chelyabinsk, where the All-Russian Children's Environmental Forum for Children was held. Nina Kataeva, a correspondent for Izvestia, spoke about the results of the event on October 16.

Harvesters in the field work as environmentally friendly as possible, and here they squeeze oil on an electric conveyor. It is controlled via a satellite system, and in which case the entire production can easily move to a neighboring field. The mobile plant project was developed by a 13-year-old student from Chelyabinsk.

"This farm works without human intervention. That is, you only need to launch it once, and there will be a steady income of sunflowers and oil," said Nikita Ekgardt, a participant in the environmental forum.

3.5 thousand schoolchildren from all over the country share their developments in the field of ecology. Hundreds of ideas on how to make the world cleaner. Each solves a specific environmental problem. For example, how to clean the deepest lake in the world.

The Baikal coast is a solid private sector. There is an acute question of where to put the sewage. Irina, a schoolgirl from Buryatia, suggests installing a local sewage treatment plant in each yard.

"They can be used for technical needs, such as watering green spaces. We want to reduce the load on the sewage system and, of course, protect our Lake Baikal," says Irina Khalbaeva, a participant in the environmental forum.

This project, among fifty others, reached the final of the children's environmental forum.

"Of course, it is important for us to form such a community, an eco-generation. There are regions that have come for the first time this year, and there are those who have been with us since the first day, and, of course, they are already our own children, we are like a family," said Tatiana Kovaleva, director of the Kompas Foundation for the Support and Development of Environmental Initiatives.

The Children's Forum is an ideal opportunity for young scientists to communicate with those who shape the environmental agenda of the whole country, and even influence new national projects.

"When creating the national project in 18-19, of course, we tried to take into account all areas related to specially protected natural areas and their problems. This does not mean that we only found out from specialists how things were going, but we learned about various initiatives, including those of young people who are growing up with us," said Dmitry Kobylkin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

Tired of explaining the nuances of garbage sorting to friends, 17-year-old Timofey from Bashkiria came up with an educational application. I "sewed" the program into VR glasses that turn boring information from textbooks into reality, albeit virtual.

"To be honest, I didn't know much about the topic before studying it, but now I've discovered something new," said Timofey Pereskokov, a participant in the environmental forum.

According to the plans of the garbage reform, which started in Russia in 2019, by 2030 all waste should be sorted, and half as much garbage should be sent to landfills. The rest of the solid household waste can get a second life.

"Recycling plastic is easier than it seems. The forum participants presented a bike that grinds caps. Then, from this material, as if from plasticine, you can mold anything, chess or a school office," Kataeva noted.

On September 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the emerging public attitude towards nuclear energy as an environmentally friendly technology at a plenary session of the Global Atomic Forum, which was held at VDNH in Moscow. He also added that, according to the IAEA's forecast, the combined capacity of all nuclear power plants in the world could increase by more than two and a half times and reach almost 1,000 gigawatts.
