The United States and its allied countries are ready to introduce additional measures against Russia if Russia and Ukraine do not reach a peaceful settlement. This was announced on October 15 by the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth.
"If this conflict does not end, if there is no path to peace in the short term, the United States, together with its allies, will take steps to impose costs on Russia," Hegseth said after a NATO meeting at the level of defense ministers.
