The Presidium of the Moscow Government has approved the forecast of the socio-economic development of the city for 2026-2028. This is reported on the portal mos.ru .
"Moscow's economy is demonstrating high resilience," Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote on the MAX messenger. "It is expected that the positive dynamics will continue in the next three years."
According to the publication, the annual growth rate of the capital's economy in the specified period is projected at 2-3%.
In 2026, investment activity will grow by 2.5%, and from 2027 it is expected to gradually accelerate to 4-4.5% annually. This will be facilitated by domestic demand, import substitution, stimulating fiscal policy, as well as maintaining a high share of the development budget.
In 2026-2028, the manufacturing industry (at 7.5% annually), retail trade (from 1 to 1.5%) and the paid services sector (2 to 3%) will grow.
In the medium term, consumer price growth is expected to slow down to 4%.
