The State Duma announced the increase and recalculation of pensions by the end of 2025

Some pensioners in Russia will have their pensions increased by the end of 2025 due to the change in their retirement status. This was announced on October 15 by State Duma deputy Alexei Govyrin (United Russia).

According to the parliamentarian, an increase in military and military pensions by 7.6% has already come into force in October, which is associated with an increase in the monetary allowance of military personnel. The increase affected not only the army, but also employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosgvardiya, FSIN and other structures.

"By the end of the year, those who change their retirement status will also receive an increase, for example, when they reach the age of 80, the fixed payment to the insurance pension doubles. The recalculation is done automatically," Govyrin explained to RIA Novosti.

He also noted that for working pensioners, pension indexation is carried out after dismissal, taking into account all missed increases. In addition, a social supplement mechanism is in place if the pensioner's total income is below the subsistence level.

According to the MP, the practice of early payments will continue in December: pensioners who receive a pension from January 1 to January 9 will be able to receive it at the end of December in order to have funds for the New Year holidays.

"No new unscheduled decisions on the increase have been made yet, but all the approved indexations will provide a significant increase in income for the majority of pensioners," Govyrin stressed.

Earlier, on October 14, it was reported that in 2027, pensioners will be able to receive the entire amount of pension savings, if it does not exceed 457.35 thousand rubles. According to experts, about 700-800 thousand people will be able to use such a payment annually.
