The Savelovsky Court of Moscow has detained a top manager of an IT company, Yuri Belenky, in the case of the transfer of funds to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on October 13 in the press service of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction.
"By a decision of the Savelovsky District Court of Moscow, the investigator's request for a preventive measure in the form of detention was granted in respect of Belenky Yuri Mikhailovich, accused of committing a crime under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (assistance to terrorist activities) for a period of 1 month and 28 days," the press service's Telegram channel says.
According to the investigation, in the period from January 2023 to March 2024, the person involved made money transfers in cryptocurrency in order to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as a terrorist organization whose activities are prohibited in Russia.
