At least two people were killed in the crash of a light aircraft near Hicks Airport in Tarrant County, Texas, USA. This was reported on October 12 by KDFW (Fox 4) TV station, citing officials.

"A plane crash has occurred. Not far from Hicks Airfield. <...> The Fort Worth Fire Department reports that two people have been found dead," the publication says.

It is noted that at the time of the crash, which occurred around 13:30 (21:30 Moscow time), some parts of the aircraft were burning, which caused grass to flare up on the ground. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Currently, the area near the airfield is cordoned off, motorists are advised to use a different route and avoid the area.

The plane crash near Highway 287 in Tarrant County became known a day earlier. It was clarified that the plane belonged to Mobile EHR, a healthcare software company. It could accommodate up to nine people. At that time, there was no information about the dead or injured.
