Starting from October 12, foreigners entering the countries of the Schengen area will have to submit their biometric data at the border. The Russian Foreign Ministry recalled the new rules, which also apply to Russians, on October 11.
"From October 12, 2025, all member states of the Schengen area <... They are introducing a new entry and exit control system at their external border," the Russian foreign ministry said.
