The Palestinian Hamas movement has announced that the surviving Israeli hostages will be exchanged for about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. This was reported on October 9 by Agence France-Presse (AFP).

"Hamas says that the surviving hostages will be exchanged for almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners within 72 hours of the implementation of the agreement," AFP said in a post on the social network X.
