The Ministry of Defense has released footage of the liberation of the village of Novovasilevskoye.

On October 7, the Ministry of Defense published footage of the liberation of the village of Novovasilevskoye in the Zaporizhia region.

It is noted that the settlement came under the control of the 394th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 5th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces. The presented footage shows the combat work of the Russian army to destroy enemy equipment and Ukrainian facilities.

The department added that during the work, a section of the locality was taken on an area of more than 4 square kilometers along the right bank of the Yanchur River. The servicemen also hoisted the flag of the Russian tricolor on the liberated territory.

After capturing the village, Russian units repulsed four enemy counterattacks.

The Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) liberated the settlements of Novovasilevskoye in the Zaporizhia region, as well as Fedorovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) earlier that day. In this area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 365 militants, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, 16 vehicles and an electronic warfare (EW) station.
