The fire area at the landfill of solid household waste (MSW), recorded in Vladivostok, amounted to 2.5 thousand square meters. m, currently there is no open gorenje. This was reported on the website of the Primorsky Environmental Operator (PEO).

"The fire area was 2.5 thousand square meters. m. There is no open gorenje, only small spot fires. Fires are spilled with water. Smoke has significantly decreased throughout the area," the organization said in a statement.

It is noted that the areas where smoldering was observed were covered with soil throughout the night from Monday, October 6, to Tuesday, October 7. This process is expected to take several more days.

Three bulldozers and dump trucks provided by the PEO, 20 contractor dump trucks, two fire brigades and one excavator and a front loader are currently involved in the elimination of the consequences of the fire.

The Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Primorsky Territory reported a fire at a solid waste plant in Vladivostok on October 6. The ministry clarified that the specialists who arrived at the scene found several fires at once, one of which had an area of 10 square meters. m. It was noted that an administrative case had been initiated into the incident under Part 4 of Article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Non-compliance with environmental protection requirements for the disposal of industrial and consumer waste").
