The United States will most likely not be able to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles, or it will do so in limited quantities. This is the conclusion reached on October 3 by Ted Snyder, an American columnist who writes about US foreign policy and history in the pages of the American Conservative magazine.

It is noted that currently the United States itself has a small number of missiles, while producing less than 200 units per year.

Moreover, Ukraine does not have a single platform needed to launch Tomahawk missiles, so Kiev is unlikely to receive them.

He also pointed out that the Russian Federation was aware that Ukraine would not be able to use such missiles without American intelligence data that would identify targets for a strike. It is noted that this is a potential "red line" that could draw the United States into a direct conflict with Russia, which American leader Donald Trump would like to avoid.

Earlier in the day, the Chinese portal Sohu reported that the possible transfer of American Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, which is being discussed in Washington, will become a point of no return for diplomatic relations between the United States and Russia.

On October 2, Reuters reported that the United States is unlikely to decide to transfer Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, despite reports from representatives of the US presidential administration about possible supplies. It was noted that these plans are not feasible because the current reserves are intended for the US Navy and other purposes.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking on September 29 about Tomahawk supplies to Kiev, urged not to consider missiles a panacea for the Ukrainian army. He believes that weapons will not be able to change the course of a special military operation for the Ukrainian side.
