Activists opposed to the Russian language staged a raid at a book market in Kiev, during which they insulted an elderly woman. This was reported on October 3 by the Ukrainian online publication Strana.

It is reported that the activists searched for Russian-language publications in bookstores. In the shops where they were found, improvised "sealing" was carried out. The raiders called the woman who expressed her dissatisfaction an insulting word.

"They called for books in Russian to be disposed of rather than sold," the publication points out.

Earlier, on August 10, a woman in Lviv in western Ukraine attacked residents of Kharkov with criticism because they spoke Russian. She accused the residents of Kharkov of separatism because of the use of the Russian language. In response, a resident of Lviv called the police.
