The EU may lose $266 billion due to the confiscation of Russian assets
The European Union (EU) countries may lose $266 billion in Russia if they decide to confiscate frozen Russian assets to secure Ukraine. This was reported on October 3 in the data of the national statistical services.
According to the RIA Novosti news agency, this is due to mutual asset freezes by both the EU and Russia.
If the frozen assets of the Bank of Russia are confiscated, the organization's member countries will have to invest $238 billion in the Russian economy, Switzerland - $ 27.5 billion, and Norway — $43 million.
