Two of the three people injured in a shootout in the Dagestani village of Untsukul are in serious condition. This was announced on October 2 by the head of the republican Ministry of Health Yaroslav Glazov.

"Two are in serious condition, doctors are operating on them," TASS quoted him as saying.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan clarified that one of the victims had lost a large amount of blood. The head of the department's press service, Gayana Garieva, said that two 30-year-old men and one 26-year-old man were injured in the shootout.

"All of them are hospitalized in the district hospital. The condition of one of them is regarded as serious, since, according to available information, damage to the artery led to significant blood loss," she noted in her Telegram channel.

The republic's Prosecutor's Office took control of the progress and results of the investigation into the incident, according to the agency's website.

A source from Izvestia reported earlier on September 2 that a shooting had occurred near a school in the village of Untsukul in Dagestan, with three people injured. According to the source, the incident occurred against the background of an old unresolved conflict. It is specified that all the victims were hospitalized. In addition, two more involved in the conflict were taken to the police station to give evidence.
