Sergei Moshkievsky, a serviceman of the 80th separate assault brigade of the Armed forces of Ukraine (VFU), who committed a terrorist attack in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, was sentenced. "The court found them sufficient to sentence soldier Serhiy Moshkievsky, a serviceman of the 80th separate assault brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine. <...> The court sentenced Moshkievsky to 18 years in prison," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to investigators, between December 2024 and March 8, 2025, Moshkievsky, armed with an AK-74 assault rifle and grenades, repeatedly illegally crossed the Russian state border in a Stryker armored personnel carrier to carry out terrorist activities.

It is noted that at the entrance to the village of Cherkasskoye Porechnoye in the Kursk region, he observed the settlement, residents and actions of Russian military personnel. In addition, the military "intimidated civilians, forbade them to evacuate, and also participated in blocking the specified territory and keeping it under illegal armed control."

The ministry added that on March 8 of this year, Moshkievsky was detained and handed over to the investigation. He was found guilty of committing a terrorist act in the Kursk region under paragraphs "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). He will serve the first three years of his sentence in prison, and the rest of his term in a high—security penal colony.
