The construction of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelsk metro line continues in the capital, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his channel at the MAX. For example, metro builders recently completed the tunneling of the section between the stations "Boulevard General Karbyshev" and "Serebryany Bor".
The new tunnel was laid using a giant shield "Lily" with a diameter of 10 m. He had to walk 850 m under residential buildings in the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki area. "The hydrogeological conditions were quite difficult, but our specialists coped," said the mayor of the capital.
The next task of the giant shield will be to tunnel to the Strogino station, which will pass under the floodplain of the Moskva River and the Bolshoy Stroginsky Floodplain. Shield tunneling of the right-hand stage tunnel on the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line section between Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye and Ilyinskaya stations has also begun today. The work will be carried out using TPMK Sofia, the total length of the tunnel will be 2.52 km.
The total length of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelsk branch is 27.6 km, it will include 12 stations with transfers to the MCC, Solntsevskaya, Filevskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Bolshaya Koltsevaya metro lines. Also, a new branch of the Moscow metro will connect Moscow City with Krasnogorsk.
