The EU mission reported two Russians on board a ship attacked off Yemen.
Two Russians were among the crew members of the Dutch Minervagracht vessel, which was attacked off the coast of Yemen. This was announced on September 30 by the representative of the press service of the EU Aspides naval mission, Lieutenant Colonel Socrates Ravanos.
"Two of the ship's crew members are Russian citizens," RIA Novosti quoted the military as saying.
He noted that the Russian sailors were rescued along with the rest of the crew during the operation of the European Union (EU) Aspides mission.
On the eve of the EU military, which controls the waters of the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf, reported a fire on the Dutch cargo ship Minervagracht after the attack of Yemen. It was clarified that the ship was attacked when it was located 128 nautical miles southeast of the port of Aden. Then it caught fire and began to drift.
