The Russian government intends to increase salaries of state employees by 7.6% in 2026

On September 29, the Russian government submitted to the State Duma for consideration a draft federal budget for 2026 and for the planning period 2027-2028, according to which salaries for public sector workers will increase by 7.6%

"At the rate of growth of the average monthly accrued wages of employees of organizations in 2026 by 7.6%, in 2027 by 8.0%, in 2028 by 7.3%, starting from January 1, budget allocations for salaries of certain categories of employees of federal government institutions of healthcare, social security, education, culture and science have been indexed," it quoted document by the TASS news agency.

It is noted that this project is aimed at maintaining macroeconomic stability.
