The armed forces of the Russian Federation have liberated the entire southern part of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) from Ukrainian militants. This was announced on September 29 by Ilya Ivanov, Hero of Russia, Deputy commander of the 5th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Center group of Forces.
"The south of the Donetsk People's Republic has been fully liberated and is under the control of the Russian Federation," he said in an interview with TASS.
