Former Moldovan president and leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon did not find himself on the electronic list of voters in the country's parliamentary elections. This was announced by his press service on September 27.

"The attackers used the data from his identity card to register Igor Nikolaevich as a voter in Russia," the interlocutors said in an interview with TASS.

It is noted that Dodon's representatives have asked the Central Election Commission (CEC) for clarification. In addition, the press service also added that the ex-president will be able to vote in Chisinau on additional lists.

Ilan Shor, leader of the bloc of opposition parties Pobeda, said on August 15 that Moldovan President Maia Sandu and her ruling party had intensified repression against the opposition in order to intimidate it before the upcoming parliamentary elections. He noted that before the elections scheduled for September 28, the Moldovan National Anti-Corruption Center (NCCC), under the jurisdiction of the head of state, detained several representatives of the bloc.
