Skier Yaroslava Popova has been disqualified for one year for violating anti-doping rules. This was announced on September 24 by the press service of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA).

"The Disciplinary Anti—Doping Committee of the Russian Academy of Sciences RUSADA has decided to disqualify the athlete Yaroslav Popova (alpine skiing) for 12 months," the publication says.

Popova is 23 years old, and at the 2025 Russian Championships she became the third in giant slalom and the second in parallel slalom.

Alexey Svirin, President of the Russian Rowing Federation, announced on September 21 that Ilya Kondratyev, the Russian men's singles champion, would not be able to participate in the World Rowing Championships in Shanghai due to the fact that the International Rowing Federation (World Rowing) did not have time to consider his application for neutral status in a timely manner.
