One person was killed and four others were injured in a fire in a dormitory located in Slantsy, Leningrad region. This was announced on September 26 by a source of the TV channel. 78.ru .

"One person was killed and four injured in a fire in a dormitory in Slantsy. <...> Now there are (victims. — Ed.) are being examined by paramedics. There is no information about the condition of people yet," he said.

The Telegram channel of the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Leningrad region clarified that the fire, which covered an area of 4 square meters, was recorded on the seventh floor. Currently, the fire has been extinguished by the fire and rescue units that arrived at the scene.

The causes of the incident are not reported, however, according to local residents, the version that the fire could have occurred due to an explosion of household gas can be ruled out, since the hostel was equipped only with electric stoves.

On the same day, it became known about the death of a woman in a 2-square-meter fire that was recorded in an apartment building in St. Petersburg. 15 specialists and three pieces of equipment were sent to the scene to fight the flames.
