Lavrov discussed the development of bilateral relations with the Foreign Minister of Cambodia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Cambodian counterpart Prak Sokhon discussed the development of bilateral relations between the two countries during a meeting on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. This was announced on September 26 on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It is noted that during the meeting, the parties exchanged positions on topical international issues, as well as the regional agenda. At the same time, the heads of departments discussed the current state and prospects of Russian-Cambodian relations.

Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov reported in May that Russia highly appreciates political contacts and cooperation with Cambodia. He noted the countries' cooperation in the fields of defense and security, trade, tourism, information technology, and politics.

At the same time, Krasnov spoke about the intentions of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation to develop cooperation with the Supreme Court of Cambodia, including through joint forums and research to share scientific experience, as well as the practice of digitalization of the judicial system.
