UAV operators and artillery crews destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold in the DPR

The operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the 238th Guards Artillery Brigade of the Yuzhnaya group of forces, together with cannon artillery calculations, destroyed a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Konstantinovsky direction in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on September 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that the enemy's stronghold was located in the village of Ivanopolye. With the help of UAVs, the intelligence service discovered the hiding places of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After that, the calculation of the 152–millimeter Hyacinth–B cannon struck the identified targets. As a result of the shelling, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to up to one infantry squad.

"We are informed that there is a goal. They give us the coordinates, and we work on it. <...> Any goal is important to us," said the commander of the gun with the call sign Dobry.

Stable cover: ground-based drones began to be used to protect artillery

Unmanned platforms with electronic warfare systems are on duty in firing positions, suppressing enemy UAVs and saving the lives of gun crews.

On September 25, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that military personnel of the UAV unit destroyed the AFU drone control center in the Kherson region. It was clarified that the enemy was struck by a Lightning–2 aircraft-type drone.
