All Russian citizens will be able to add information about their blood type and Rh factor to their passports for free. This was announced on September 25 by Yulia Drozhzhina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection.

"Every citizen of our country has the right to put a stamp on his blood type and Rh factor in his passport," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The parliamentarian clarified that such a stamp can be obtained at blood transfusion stations or at the polyclinic to which the citizen is attached. The service is provided as part of compulsory medical insurance (CHI) and does not require additional fees or fees.
