Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Feridun Sinirlioglu discussed the current state of affairs of the association at a meeting during the UN General Assembly (GA). This was reported on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry on September 26.

It is clarified that the OSCE is experiencing serious difficulties. The reason for this was the attempts of some states to direct its activities exclusively in line with Ukrainian interests and anti-Russian rhetoric. Possible ways out of the current situation were discussed, based on the key principle of the OSCE — reaching consensus.

On September 25, Lavrov discussed the oppressive situation regarding the OSCE with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis. The Russian Foreign Minister presented Russia's key views on the causes of the current crisis in the organization.
