Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen appealed to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte for help in the situation with drones over the territory of Danish airports, having held telephone talks with him on September 25.

"I just talked about the serious situation related to drones over Danish airports," she said on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The politician added that following the conversation, the head of NATO promised that the military bloc would work together with Denmark and decide what they could do together to ensure the country's security.

On September 25, the police of the Danish administrative region of North Jutland reported that drones were spotted in the air harbor area of the city of Aalborg. Law enforcement officers have launched an investigation into the incident. Later, the UAV was found in different parts of Denmark: near airports in the Danish cities of Esbjerg, Sennerborg and Skridstrup.

The Russian Embassy has rejected speculation of involvement in the drone-related incidents in Denmark. They noted that such actions would be used to "escalate tensions in the interests of the forces" in order to prolong the conflict in Ukraine.
